Looking beyond the symptoms…
Many of the challenges you’ve seen on this page don’t exist in isolation. Difficulties with focus, behaviour, learning or emotional regulation can often be linked to how a child’s brain and body have developed and are working together.
Early movement patterns, balance, coordination and the way the brain processes sensory information all play an important role in learning and behaviour. If these foundations haven’t developed as smoothly as expected, it can make everyday tasks feel harder than they should.
At Astrolabe Therapy, we take a neurodevelopmental approach to understand what may be happening beneath the surface. This may include looking at areas such as retained primitive reflexes, coordination and sensory processing, helping us build a clearer picture of your child’s needs.
From there, we create a personalised plan of support that focuses on strengthening these foundations and making learning, behaviour and day-to-day life feel easier.
